Niall Scott
Co-Founder & Co-Director
Niall understands that people are more important than property, after all it’s the people you surround yourself with that will ultimately make or break you as a property investor and developer. As such, Niall surrounds himself with good people from coaches and mentors to power teams. With a background in customer service, Niall is able to understand the importance of building relationships and as such, can often be found networking at property events representing Scott Baker Properties.
Following a similar educational path as Matt, Niall also trained with the same property education provider where he later went on to coach students at the 3-Day Property Investing Trainings. Having travelled extensively and lived abroad; during his time overseas, Niall learned that cohabiting was one of the most common themes across cultures. He also witnessed the benefits of cohabiting, which in the UK and Europe, translates as coliving.
Niall is passionate about providing sustainable living experiences. With a keen interest in reducing waste and educating housemates about how to reduce their consumption and live in harmony with the planet, Niall continues to raise the bar in coliving property development.
Niall Scott is also the host of Property Jam with Jo Akhgar and Matt Baker. A podcast dedicated to talking about the human side of property. It’s the real-talk property podcast the industry has been waiting for.
Matt Baker
Co-Founder & Co-Director
You’ll often hear Matt introduce himself as the Piano Playing Property Investor. An expert in HMOs and Coliving, Matt found his calling as an investor and developer in early 2015 and has been passionate about converting houses and commercial buildings into shared living accommodation ever since.
Originally a professional piano player and teacher, Matt has always been interested in, and had a knack for, setting up and running successful businesses. With his first venture, Thame Institute of Music, in South Oxfordshire; being sold in 2018 after 6 years of operation. Matt is well placed to help others build and excel their own businesses especially in property.
Whilst running Thame Institute of Music Matt, with business partner Niall, also began Scott Baker Properties. Here they have grown a successful property investment and development business with a substantial portfolio of high-performance properties.
Matt Baker is also the host of Property Jam with Jo Akhgar and Niall Scott. A podcast dedicated to talking about the human side of property. It’s the real-talk property podcast the industry has been waiting for.
Salla Raine
Creative Director
Day to day, Salla shapes the brand standards of Scott Baker Properties through advertising, branding, PR, film and interior design. She works closely with Niall & Matt to develop design concepts and experiences for housemates through interior architecture, design and wellbeing.
Salla studied at the University of Brighton. During her time there, she founded the first online interiors shop, dedicated to providing new design graduates with a space to sell their work. Her role was to promote the collective through PR and commission projects. The project received a lot of press and won an Elle Decoration Approved Award.
Salla understands both the perspective of the landlord and the tenant. She previously worked in lettings, looking after tenants and property maintenance. Today, her personal interests in health & wellbeing through trainings in yoga and massage therapy, offers a unique eye to her interior design work and the need for healthier living environments.
Dennis Smith
Projects Manager
Dennis has managed many project teams, across a variety of sectors. Examples include projects such as the new terminal at Heathrow Airport, Kings Cross redevelopment in London and a network of new train stations to Sydney’s North-West.
Most recently, he was the project manager on a student accommodation project at the University of Sussex, which created over 2100 new student bedrooms. With a strong interest in construction and property, he offers a unique eye to project management.
Clive Pyzer
Financial Director
Clive is a Fellow of The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants. The size of the businesses Clive has been responsible for vary from £5m up to £120m turnover.
Throughout his career Clive has managed numerous acquisitions and disposals, worked for a FTSE100 company and raised over £3m through a pre-IPO funding exercise. He has a wealth of experience in growth management, systems, controls, reporting, statutory and management accounts.
Commercially astute he has managed high growth throughout his career, whilst guiding businesses to achieve their strategic objectives.
Billy Cook
Acquisitions
With extensive experience in Business Development, Operations & Account Management Billy prides himself on exceptional service levels and developing key business relationships. Having invested heavily in his own personal training and education in property he is focused on sourcing fantastic opportunities for investors, whilst ensuring the team are working collaboratively to achieve the goals & objectives set.
For Billy, the focus is always on the detail and how we can streamline processes and deliver returns for our investors, building long lasting relationships with honesty and transparency at the heart of what we set out to do.
